Stars of the Big Screen

Towersey Morris are long term supporters of the MS Trust having donated over £10,000 to our work for people with MS and they are now featured on the big screen appearing in Pudsey the Dog: The Movie.

A family film for the Summer, Pudsey the Dog: The Movie is the tale of lovable stray hound, Pudsey. Relocating to a quiet and sleepy village Pudsey discovers that there's an evil plot afoot from landlord, Mr Thorne and his conniving cat, Faustus. It's up to Pudsey to foil the evil landlord's plans and save the village. The comedy features a stellar cast including David Walliams, Pudsey the nation's favourite dancing dog and of course Towersey Morris!

Pam Macfarlane, Chief Executive of the MS Trust, was invited to the Three Horseshoes pub this week to see them perform and to receive a cheque. Pam said

We really have to thank Towersey Morris and all their friends and supporters for their generous donations over many years to the work of the MS Trust. We couldn't continue our work for people with MS without the support of community groups like Towersey and it's always great fun to come to one of their performances.

Tony Merry, former Squire of Towersey Morris said

There are three good reasons for doing this - firstly Morris dancing is good fun and we get to visit many excellent pubs each year! Secondly we are continuing a centuries old English tradition and thirdly it gives us the opportunity to raise money for some very good causes close to our hearts.
