The MS Trust introduces two new Trustees

13 July 2022

The MS Trust are delighted to announce two new Trustees, who will join the board from September.

Rebecca Law leads the commercial legal team at the John Lewis Partnership, as well as acting as a Trustee of their Pensions Trust and brings to the MS Trust a keen interest in compliance and corporate governance. She has also held a senior legal position at Tesco.

Rebecca lives in London. She was diagnosed with relapsing remitting MS at the end of last year following a period of uncertainty over what was causing her symptoms.

The need for a charity such as the MS Trust has never been greater given the impact of the pandemic, and as someone who has personally benefited from the resources provided by the MS Trust, the opportunity to help make a difference for other people with MS around the UK is really exciting.

I feel a real sense of indebtedness and connection to the MS Trust in a way that I haven’t with other charities for whom I have fundraised before.

Sally Owen has worked across a variety of leadership roles across HSBC UK, and has a true passion for Diversity and Inclusion having worked within HSBC’s Ethnicity ERG, Embrace.  Sally is currently on secondment as Operations Director at PurpleSpace, the world’s only professional development hub for Disability Employee Resource Group/Network leaders. Sally was diagnosed with MS over 10 years ago, and prefers to say it stands for mighty strong not multiple sclerosis. She lives in South Wales where she also manages her son’s rugby team.

Everyone at the MS Trust would like to extend a warm welcome to our new Trustees and we look forward to working with them in the future.
