The festive season is a time when we think of our loved ones and anyone who knows someone with MS will appreciate the unique challenges each individual faces. Each journey is different but whatever the path there are always questions and concerns along the way. At the MS Trust, we care and we are here with trusted expert information to help people with MS make informed decisions about what is best for them. We are here for every person affected by MS.
Christmas appeal 2024
This Christmas help us to be there when it matters
Your donation could help people like Olivia
Olivia is a 33 year old mum of one, avid runner and NHS Dietitian. Her diagnosis of relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis came completely out of the blue.
Eight months post-partum at the time, she had just been at a soft-play with her daughter when she noticed her left leg felt numb. This soon spread up to her hip and she noticed her balance was off.
She originally put it down to a trapped nerve and it was only when she started experiencing weakness with her left hand and trouble with swallowing that she knew something was very wrong.
Olivia is now back running again, regaining her fitness and learning to run with the residual symptoms that her relapse has left her with. She has even done a 12 day marathon fundraising event!
Her advice to anyone currently going through the possibility of a diagnosis or to those of you who may have just been diagnosed is to use the MS Trust for information and support.
Thanks to your incredible support we are helping people like Olivia living with MS right now.
We help answer the questions, calm the concerns and fill the gap before an appointment. We help share the news of a diagnosis, and support when progression advances.
We are there when it matters.

Support our research
As a valued supporter, you have probably read about our recent merge with MS Research, Treatment and Education. This exciting new partnership will allow us to build on our existing strengths and create an even more significant and positive impact on the lives of people affected by multiple sclerosis.
We will continue to provide the resources people with MS and their families rely on, including the helpline, website and MS publications. We will maintain the ongoing fight for equitable access to MS health care across the country and will remain as the only charity to educate all new MS health professionals. But our new structure will pave the way for the funding of research projects which will have a far-reaching impact across all areas of the MS community.
By combining MS Research's experience in research and the MS Trust's unique relationship with health professionals, the new organisation will be perfectly positioned to bridge the gap between research and clinical practice, ultimately improving the daily lives of people living with MS.
We're incredibly excited about the future and the positive impact we will make. If you too are excited by the progression of the charity into more research projects please consider giving a donation today, we would be so grateful for your support.
