Or write to us at:
Helpline, MS Trust, Spirella Building, Bridge Road, Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire SG6 4ET

Opening hours

  • Weekdays from 9am to 5pm, except bank holidays.
  • Not available? Leave us a message and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
  • Response time? We try to reply within the next working day, though weekend enquiries can take a little longer.

I rang them and I’ve never done that before and I just ended up bawling my eyes out to the most lovely lady... She was so kind and she listened but also she directed me to what I could do and steps I could take, and I felt so grateful for that.

How we help

We are here for anyone who needs to know more about multiple sclerosis.

Maybe you have MS? Or your partner, relative or friend? A colleague? Or you're a health professional, carer, or medical student...? Multiple sclerosis touches people in many ways, and always throws up lots of questions.

These are some of the things people ask us about:

  • what to do if I think I may have MS
  • what to expect after my MS diagnosis
  • a new or troubling MS symptom
  • how to choose between MS treatments
  • what are my legal rights
  • what work adjustments will help my colleague
  • how to find a specialist MS nurse
  • who to turn to for help with home adaptations
  • how MS might affect our family.

We don't always know the answer, but we will do our best to find someone who does.

Looking after your information

We want you to feel safe when talking to us and have control over what happens to your information.

Our helpline is a confidential service. We only record identifiable information about your enquiry with your consent.

Following your enquiry, we will use your contact information to send you follow up user surveys. These are sent one week after your enquiry and again three months later. This data is then deleted unless we have your consent to keep it.

Where consent is given, information will be stored for six years. Recorded personal information is only accessible to members of staff who are trained to handle such information.

Telephone calls are recorded for quality and training purposes and stored for 6 months.
