This October, take on 135km for someone you love ðŸ’™

Every week in the UK, 135 people are diagnosed with MS. That's 135 lives changed in an instant – along with the lives of their families, friends and loved ones.

This October, we're asking you to move for them.

Challenge 135km is a month-long Facebook fundraising challenge where you'll aim to complete 135km throughout October. Walk, run, cycle, swim - every kilometre counts.

Whether it's for yourself, your parent, partner, sibling or best friend - this is your chance to show up for someone you love in a meaningful way.

Every kilometre you complete and every pound you raise will help MS Trust support people from the moment they're diagnosed and beyond.

Join us this October and let's turn 135 into something powerful.

What activities can I do?

You can choose how you'd like to complete your 135km – whether that's walking, running, cycling, swimming or a combination of activities. Every kilometre counts as you take on 135km for the 135 people diagnosed with MS each week in the UK.

This challenge is being run via Facebook, can I still take part if I don’t have a Facebook account?

Absolutely! You don’t need a Facebook account to take part. While you won’t be able to join our Facebook community group, you’ll still receive regular emails and updates to support and guide you throughout the challenge.

Is there a minimum sponsorship target?

How you make a difference

Here's how you can make a difference this October:

  • 135 people are diagnosed with MS in the UK every week. Your support could help us provide our â€˜Making Sense of MS’ guide to those people who are newly diagnosed, offering support and unbiased information at a difficult time.

  • Advanced MS sadly affects over 40,000 people in the UK. Your support could help us fund more Advanced MS Champions, like Sarah in Leeds, who provide at home care and help people living with extremely severe MS live better lives.

  • Health Professionals like MS Nurses provide vital services for people with MS. Your support could help us train 40-50 health professionals on our Development Module course, funding education that helps make MS care more equal.

  • Research can help unlock practical, real-world change in MS care. Your support could help us work with people with MS and researchers to find innovative solutions and improve the level of support available for people with MS everywhere.

All our services are provided free of charge. We receive no government or NHS funding. It's only thanks to the generosity of people like you that we can continue our work.
