Meet the team
Our experienced Enquiry Service team are here to help you find all the information you need about multiple sclerosis (MS).
Simon - Information Management Officer

With MS, one size does not fit all. For the enquiry team this means every call or email is different and personal to that caller. We work hard to find the information someone needs for their individual situation.
Since I started at the MS Trust in 2000, the ways in which people can access information about multiple sclerosis have changed greatly. A vast array of information and opinion of varying quality is available on the internet and through social media. Some people don't have access to this or prefer to rely on printed publications.
The enquiry team's role is to help people navigate towards the reliable information that they need to make decisions about life with MS.
Ali - Information Content Development Officer

In today’s internet-connected world we have a whole wealth of information at our fingertips, but accessing information you can trust isn’t always easy.
At the MS Trust we pride ourselves on providing practical, evidence-based information, not just over the phone but online and in print as well. However sometimes people want that human contact rather than just a computer screen, which is why our enquiry line can provide a vital resource to people.
Claire - Content and Engagement Manager

It is a real pleasure and a privilege to talk to people with MS, and help them reach the information they are searching for. The questions we answer each day are different, as MS can affect people in so many ways. We listen to individuals with MS, their families, employers and friends, and aim to empower them to manage life with MS in their own way.
By hearing first-hand what matters to people with MS and what their information needs are, we can adapt our publications and online resources to fit those needs. Although we look at all the evidence in MS, and do our best to present it clearly, we also recognise that everyone is on their own journey through the MS world. The Enquiries Team is here to give you the right maps for where you are right now, and where you want to go.
Gemma - Information Content Development Officer

I’ve worked in the MS Trust information team since 2016 and part of my role involves answering calls on our enquiries line. During the short time I’ve been part of the enquiry service team, I’ve seen first-hand how valuable it is for someone with MS, or their friends and family, to be able to call us, ask questions and find the information they need. From giving out contact details for MS nurses to speaking to someone who’s only recently been diagnosed.
The calls can really vary each day but we do our best to provide reliable information and signpost people to appropriate sources of support to make their life with MS that little bit easier.
Janice - Information Management Officer

There is a huge amount of research into MS being published every week. However much of it isn’t easily accessible or understandable by people who aren’t part of the scientific community. At the MS Trust we believe that knowledge is power - the better you understand your MS, the better you can manage it.
When people call with questions relating their MS we are able to explain the latest research in a way that’s accessible to everyone.
