Event Highlights

  • Run for a cause: Your participation directly supports the work of the MS Trust and everyone affected by MS. Together, we can make sense of MS. 
  • Iconic event: 2025 will be the 50th year of the Amsterdam Marathon, it will also be the 750th anniversary of the city of Amsterdam 
  • International appeal: The TCS Amsterdam Marathon has a strong appeal to marathon runners from all over the world. In 2024, no less than 65% of the participants in the main event came from abroad, with over 130 different nationalities represented at the starting line.
  • Scenic route: Start and finish in the iconic Olympic Stadium from 1928, run past the the Rijksmuseum, the Vondelpark, the Amstel, and the Heineken Experience. 
  • Electric atmosphere: Cheered on my local and international crowds alike, this special celebration year is sure to be one to remember!

Terms & Conditions

By signing up to this event I declare that:

  1. I will participate in the Amsterdam Marathon 2025 on Sunday 19th October 2025 on behalf of the Multiple Sclerosis Trust.
  2. I will raise a minimum of £450 in sponsorship for the MS Trust with the objective being to raise as much sponsorship as possible.
  3. I will return all sponsorship money to the MS Trust by 19th December 2025.
  4. If I cannot participate due to injury or illness I will let the MS Trust know immediately.
  5. I will be over 18 years of age at the date of the Amsterdam Marathon 2025, I can confirm that to the best of my knowledge my general state of health and fitness is good, and I understand that I am taking part in the Amsterdam Marathon 2025 at my own risk.
  6. I give permission for the MS Trust to use any photographs/videos in which I may appear for publicity purposes - this can include reporting on the event, informing people about the MS Trust, advertising future fundraising events. Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a minimum age for participants?

The minimum age for competitors is 18.

Can I run with headphones?

Yes, headphones are allowed.

Is there a bag drop at the Amsterdam Marathon?

A free clothing drop off is available which will be stored in tents outside the Olympic Stadium. The service is free but we are not responsible for any stolen or missing items. It is not allowed to take loose items of clothing into the stadium. At Sporthallen Zuid there are limited number of lockers available to store your bag or valuable belongings.

Please read the information below about taking part if you have a disability and/or require assistance on event day. 

Wheelchairs:

The Amsterdam Marathon takes place over some cobbled streets and is not accessible for wheelchair users

Support runners:

The Amsterdam Marathon has provisions for support runners, if you require a support runner, or require a place for a support runner, please get in touch at fundraising@mstrust.org.uk or call on 01462 536007 and we can support you in arranging this. 

Cut off time

The cut off time for the Amsterdam Marathon is 6 hours. It would take the average person between 7 and 9 hours to walk a Marathon distance. This does give time to some walk breaks. However, a marathon is a significant challenge and it is advised that you should be comfortable with running long distances before signing up.
