Take on one of Scotland's largest fundraising events and help us make sense of MS. Starting or ending in major cities across Scotland, and with a choice of distances at each event too, there's a Kiltwalk for everyone to enjoy.
Why not get the whole family involved in the 3 mile long Wee Wander? Or could you challenge yourself to a 23 mile long Mighty Stride? If you want something in between, there's the 14 miles Big Stroll.
Entry for each of the events costs just £20 and for the Wee Wander distance, it's just £12.50 for an adult and £6.50 for children.
Choose your event and sign up today to help make a difference for people with MS. When prompted, make sure to select Multiple Sclerosis Trust as your chosen charity.
We understand that fundraising can sometimes be just as much of a challenge as the event itself, but our dedicated fundraising team will be there to support you every step of the way. We will be there to get you started with our brilliant fundraising pack and will be in regular contact with support, advice and ideas.
When you register with Kiltwalk, a Just Giving page will be automatically set up for you. This is a great way to collect sponsorship as all the money comes directly to MS Trust and you don't need to worry about things like Gift Aid.
As a MS Trust fundraiser you will also receive a free MS Trust branded t-shirt for you to wear as you train and during the event itself.
Many people with MS take part in this event without any problems, but the longer distances can be a physically demanding challenge and will require a good level of mobility. On the Kiltwalk website you can see the exact distance, and elevation, for each route. This might be a good tool to help you think about what distance is right for you. We always suggest that you check with your doctor before signing up to the trip if you have MS or any other pre-existing medical condition that you think might affect your ability to take part. If this event isn't for you, perhaps you might be interested in one of our other events such as Miles for MS.
No, there is no fundraising target or minimum sponsorship for this event. Once you've paid your registration fee, you can simply raise as much as you are able to as everything you raise will go directly to the MS Trust.
Once you've completed your registration, a member of our fundraising team will be in touch to welcome you to team MS Trust. They'll ask for your t-shirt size then and it will be sent out shortly afterwards. You can expect to receive your t-shirt within a couple of weeks of registering onto the challenge.
To take part in the Mighty Stride (20+ mile) events, you need to be 13 years old on the date of the event. For the Big Stroll (10-15 mile) events, you need to be 10 years old. The Wee Wander (3-5 miles) events are for the whole family and children aged 5 years and above are welcome to join in. Kiltwalk also endeavours to make all Wee Wander walks as pram and buggy friendly as possible but cannot guarantee that all are fully accessible. If you have specific questions about this, please email contactus@thekiltwalk.co.uk.
The Mighty Stride and Big Stroll routes are not considered to be wheelchair accessible due to the terrain.
Kiltwalk endeavours to make all Wee Wander routes as wheelchair accessible as possible, however, unfortunately, due to the terrain on some of these, we cannot guarantee all are fully accessible. For more information please email contactus@thekiltwalk.co.uk
