Event details

With the moon as your backdrop, explore the highest mountain in England and Wales.

As you climb to the summit you will reach for the stars at this Dark Sky Reserve and will then see the sunrise across Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park.

On the way back down the mountain you will be able to take in breath-taking views and then finish with a delicious celebration breakfast and perhaps even some bubbly!

This is truly a trek with a difference, as trekking by night brings a fresh twist to this challenge and makes it even more rewarding.

Fundraising for the MS Trust

We understand that fundraising can sometimes be just as much of a challenge as the event itself, but our dedicated fundraising team will be there to support you every step of the way. We will be there to get you started with our brilliant fundraising pack and will be in regular contact with support, advice and ideas.

As a MS Trust fundraiser you will also receive a free MS Trust branded t-shirt for you to wear as you train and during the event itself.

We recommend that our fundraisers use Just Giving to collect sponsorship online. It is quick to set up and you can easily share your page with friends, family, and colleagues to reach your fundraising goals. Plus, everything is seamless. The money you raise, as well as Gift Aid, is sent straight to us as the MS Trust so that's one less thing to worry about! You can kickstart your fundraising on Just Giving here

Frequently Asked Questions

How fit do I need to be?

This is designed to be a challenge and so you may need to do some training. The route is predominantly on good paths but with varied terrain and some steep ascents and descents, this is not to be underestimated. When you register, Discover Adventure will provide you with a thorough training guide which should help make sure you get the most out of your challenge.

If you have concerns about your fitness, or have reduced mobility, please contact Discover Adventure directly to chat through whether this challenge is for you.

Are there alternative fundraising options?

There are two options for taking part in this challenge:

1) The Fundraising Option - You pay a £49 registration fee to the tour company and then raise £350 for the MS Trust. 80% of this (£280) will be due 10 weeks before your challenge starts.

2) The Self-funding Option - You page a £49 registration fee and then £175 to the tour company approximately 8 weeks before the challenge starts. You can then fundraise for the MS Trust without a target and simply try to raise as much as you can!

When will I receive my t-shirt?

Once you've completed your registration, a member of our fundraising team will be in touch to welcome you to team MS Trust. They'll ask for your t-shirt size then and it will be sent out shortly afterwards. You can expect to receive your t-shirt within a couple of weeks of registering onto the challenge.

What if I don't reach my fundraising target?

We'll keep in touch in the run up to your event and so if it looks like you might need to give your fundraising an extra boost, or if you might need some more time after the challenge to reach your target, we'll be there to help. We can discuss different tips to boost your fundraising or even maybe help you to plan an event.

We set a minimum sponsorship amount as we have to pay the costs of your place from what you raise in advance of the challenge. You'll have to have raised 80% of your target 10 weeks before the challenge weekend and we know that it can sometimes be tough to raise this much so far before you've even set foot at the bottom of Snowdon. That's why we'll help get your fundraising going right from the moment you register. We'll never suddenly turn around and expect you to have raised the money.

Are there alternative dates?

Unfortunately not, each year we usually have dates in May, June and August. If you're interested in participating in 2025 please drop us an enquiry.

Can I take part if I have MS?

Many people with MS take part in our treks without any problems, but this is a physically demanding event so you do need to be generally fit and have a good level of mobility. We always suggest that you check with your doctor before signing up to the trip if you have MS or any other pre-existing medical condition. If this trip isn't for you, perhaps you might be interested in one of our other events such as Miles for MS or the Jurassic Coast Challenge.
