Running event registration fee

By completing the application form for an MS Trust guaranteed place, or to register with us using your own place, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Registration fees
   • If required to pay a registration fee to secure an MS Trust guaranteed place, I understand that this fee is non-refundable and non-transferable (not applicable to own place applications).
2. Sponsorship
   • If I take a guaranteed MS Trust place with a minimum sponsorship pledge, I agree to raise at least this amount and return all sponsorship money to the MS Trust one month post event date (not applicable to own place applications).
   • I will aim to raise as much sponsorship as possible to support the work of the MS Trust and people affected by multiple sclerosis.
3. Participation and fitness
   • I acknowledge that training for and participating in a running event involves potentially strenuous activity and carries a risk of personal injury.
   • To the best of my knowledge, I am suitably healthy and fit to take part in the event.
   • I understand that I am taking part at my own risk, and that the MS Trust’s insurance does not cover participants in third-party organised events.
   • If I cannot participate due to injury or illness, I will inform the MS Trust immediately.
4. Age requirements
   • Many events require that you are at least 18 years of age at the date of the event. I confirm that I will be over 18 years of age on the date of the event, unless otherwise agreed with the MS Trust.
5. Photography and publicity
   • I give permission for the MS Trust, its partners, or contractors to use photographs or videos in which I appear for publicity purposes. This may include reporting on the event, raising awareness of the MS Trust, or promoting future fundraising activities.
   • These images may be used in marketing materials, newsletters, social media, and other communications.
   • If I wish to opt out, I will contact fundraising@mstrust.org.uk.
6. Communications
   • The MS Trust will contact me by telephone, email, and post in relation to this event, including (but not limited to) race updates, fundraising information, training tips and other related communications.

7. Third-party event organisers
   • For those applying for an MS Trust guaranteed place, I understand that my details (such as name, email, and phone number) may need to be shared with the third-party event organiser in order to officially register me.
   • This process may require me to complete registration directly with the organiser by a set deadline. Failure to complete this may result in me losing my place, and the MS Trust cannot influence or take responsibility for deadlines set by third-party organisers.
