“I wanted to do something positive”

After her MS diagnosis, Dr Susannah Hamilton was determined to turn a negative into a positive and help others access the same support she felt so grateful to have had herself. So back in June, Susannah organised a fun run to raise vital funds for the MS Trust. Over 100 people took part, and an incredible £40,000 was raised – enough to fund an MS specialist nurse for a year.

Introducing our new school awareness pack

The MS Trust has launched a new awareness pack to help teachers and pupils raise awareness of MS in their schools and dispel some common myths and misunderstandings around the condition. MS Trust supporter Jenna Chudasama teaches at a secondary school in Leicester and recently used the pack to deliver an assembly to students about her own MS experience. “I hope that I inspired others to live their life to the full, no matter what challenges they are faced with,” Jenna tells us.

The Walkie Talkies team conquer 100km of the Jurassic Coast for the MS Trust

Following her husband's MS diagnosis in 2017, Lisa Brinicombe and her family were touched by the "invaluable support and information" they received from the MS Trust. Determined to ensure others could receive the same support that they had, Lisa and three friends (The Walkie Talkies) pledged to take on a 100km trek along the Jurassic coast to raise vital funds for the MS Trust.
