Nico's festive MINI is back!

Nico is back with his festive MINI for an impressive fifth year. With the aim of brightening everyone’s day whilst raising money for the MS Trust along the way.

Nico’s festive MINI started as a bit of fun five years ago when he decided to wrap his MINI in electric lights. Two years later when he saw the joy the MINI gave to a young boy who had been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy he decided the festive MINI could be used for an even bigger purpose.

Since then, the annual decorations have become more ambitious and this year the car is wrapped in a whooping 3,000 app-controlled twinkly lights, capable of generating customisable animations including light patterns and messages, and rhythms synced to your favourite song!  During 2020 the magic of the MINI really came into its own, when Nico was able to use it as a mobile light display visiting vulnerable people unable to attend the traditional Christmas light displays.

In a change from previous years, this year Nico is offering the opportunity to sponsor a light on the MINI on behalf of someone you love, for as little as £2. Nico will be visiting as many streets as possible in his hometown of Bracknell throughout the festive period as he aims to top last year’s efforts by raising a staggering £10,000.

Ahead of this year’s fundraising period, Nico said,

I’m delighted to be bringing the Festive MINI back for 2022 to raise more money for charities that are really close to my heart. I love having the opportunity to cheer people up whilst raising funds for the MS Trust and Duchenne UK.

My mother was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis seven years ago and the MS Trust were instrumental in supporting her to understand her condition and how to cope.
