The NHS Low Income Scheme can help if you have a low income but are not exempt from charges.
You can order the application form - HC1 - from the NHS Business Services Authority helpline 0845 603 1108 or by visiting the NHS Business Services Authority website.
If you live in England, Scotland or Wales you may be eligible if you have savings and investments of less than £16,000. The limit is a little higher is you live in a care home.
The NHS Low Income Scheme may help with the full or partial costs of:
- NHS prescriptions
- NHS dental treatment
- Sight tests, glasses and contact lenses
- Travel to receive NHS treatment
- NHS wigs and fabric supports
