Fundraising for MS Trust

We understand that fundraising can sometimes be just as much of a challenge as the event itself, but our dedicated fundraising team will be there to support you every step of the way. We will be there to get you started with our brilliant fundraising pack and will be in regular contact with support, advice and ideas.

As an MS Trust fundraiser, you will also receive a free MS Trust branded t-shirt for you to wear as you train and during the event itself.

We recommend that our fundraisers use Just Giving to collect sponsorship online. It is quick to set up and you can easily share your page with friends, family, and colleagues to reach your fundraising goals. Plus, everything is seamless. The money you raise (including Gift Aid) is sent straight to us, so that's one less thing to worry about! You can kickstart your fundraising on Just Giving here

Get involved

Want to be a part of this fantastic event and support MS Trust, but don't fancy the run? Why not volunteer? MS Trust will need a dedicated cheering squad on the day to keep the runners, particularly those part of Team MS Trust, motivated.

If you are interested in participating please email fundraising@mstrust.org.uk

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I run for MS Trust if I have already purchased a place direct with the race organisers?

Absolutely! Email us at fundraising@mstrust.org.uk and we will get you registered so that you can join Team MS Trust!

What if I don't reach my fundraising target?

We'll keep in touch in the run up to your event - if it looks like you might need to give your fundraising an extra boost, or if you need some more time after the event date to reach your target, we'll be there to help. We can also share different tips to boost your fundraising or perhaps even help you to plan a small supplementary fundraising event.

There is a minimum sponsorship amount (unless you choose to purchase your own space), to mitigate costs to MS Trust. You'll need to have raised 50% of your target 3 weeks before the challenge weekend. We know that it can sometimes prove difficult to raise this amount in advance of your challenge, so we will always be on hand to support you with your fundraising.

How old do I have to be to take part?

You must be at least 17 years old on the date of the event (8 March 2026) to take part in the Cambridge Half Marathon 2026.

I am a wheelchair user, can I take part in the Cambridge Half Marathon?

There is not currently a dedicated wheelchair wave for the Cambridge Half Marathon although standard chairs are welcome in the main field. The organisers recommend viewing the site and route first to assess suitability.

Please email fundraising@mstrust.org.uk if you have any questions about whether this race is suitable for you.

What support will I receive from MS Trust?

The dedicated team at MS Trust will be there with you for every step of your journey. We'll provide your free branded MS Trust t-shirt, as well as regular correspondence including tips and guidance for training and fundraising.
