Sam Bromfield is our Friend of the MS Trust in Norfolk. Here she tells us why she wanted to get involved and why she'd encourage others to become part of our Friends network too.
My name is Sam, I am 28 years old, I was diagnosed with relapsing remitting MS in 2015 and I run the group Friends of The MS Trust – Norfolk.
After my diagnosis it always seemed like I was referred back to the MS Trust website, whether that be for information or support and even helping me decide what medication was right for me.
I have always been a keen fundraiser, enjoying planning and holding events so it made sense for me to start supporting the MS Trust as it was now so close to heart.
Whether you are someone that loves to plan your own fundraising events or you thrive off supporting those around you, becoming a Friend of the MS Trust is one of the best ways to help and support the MS Trust
After organising a few different fundraisers myself such as coffee mornings and raffles, I also started to support my friends with their ideas (one of them climbed Kilimanjaro and one did a sky dive!). I knew straight away this was something I enjoyed and wanted to help more people so I started Friends of the MS Trust.
Being a Friend of the MS Trust makes me feel so proud that I am giving back to a cause that has been so supportive to me. It’s fun and sociable and has built my confidence tremendously.
Whether you are someone that loves to plan your own fundraising events or you thrive off supporting those around you, becoming a Friend of the MS Trust is one of the best ways to help and support the MS Trust team, raise vital funds and awareness for everyone like us fighting this condition daily.
