MS progression slower in childhood MS
People diagnosed with MS as a child take longer to reach EDSS milestones but reach them at a younger age than people diagnosed as adults, according to Swedish research.

Genes linked to MS risk identified
Twelve genetic mutations that greatly raise the risk of developing MS have been identified by Canadian research. The genes were identified from a study of people from families that include three of more people with MS. Researchers hope that this may lead to a preventive treatment

Obesity linked to worse MS
Obesity at diagnosis is associated with a higher EDSS score and more severe symptoms, according to Italian research

Better support for neurological conditions needed at work
The Economist has published a report looking at workplace response to neurological conditions, focussing on migraine, MS and Alzheimer's disease. Recommendations include better policies to support staff, better education for staff, better workplace adjustments.
